SAVE THE ORANGUTANS

            Slide1

We have joined up with our friends from the Nature Conservancy for the month of April to help raise awareness and funds for the great work they are doing with the orangutan conservation project in the Borneo forests in  Indonesia. Each bottle of our Orang Utan sold throughout April, we will be donating money to The Nature Conservancy’s orangutan conservation project!

Yatim, Forest Guardian

‘I live in Wehea and I’m a Petkuq Mehuey, which means Forest Guardian. I camp in the forest for months, and I collect data on the animals I see. My favorite animal is the orangutan; they are so interesting to watch because they are so much like humans. I am helping to protect Wehea because I love the forest and I want my kids to have the chance to see orangutans too.

Dr. Herlina Hartanto,Forest Program Director,The Nature Conservancy

‘Understanding the challenges that orangutans are facing, the Conservancy’s Indonesia Terrestrial Program sets an ambitious goal of protecting and improving management across 10 million hectares of forests — the orangutan’s forest — by 2020. We will do this by working with forest guardians — communities, companies, non-governmental organizations and all levels of governments to:

  • protect the areas of the orangutan’s forest that are most critical to wildlife and people;
  • transform the way government and companies support and manage the orangutan’s forest; and
  • inspire the people of Indonesia, and all of us, to safeguard the orangutan’s forest and our future.’
